About Me
Reach for the stars!
Marie Boyce is a devoted Licensed Educational Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in school psychology and counseling. Her journey has taken her through diverse educational settings within San Diego Unified School District, Poway Unified School District, San Dieguito Union High School District, and Escondido Union School District.
Her career is highlighted by a passionate commitment to supporting children with a range of challenges, from autism and emotional disturbances to intellectual disabilities. Marie's educational foundation is solid, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master of Arts Degree in Education with an emphasis in Counseling from Boston College and Point Loma Nazarene University. Further enhancing her impact, she has earned a school psychology credential from National University and licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in educational psychology.
Since receiving her masters in education, she has been working with children in the educational setting to provide children and teens with counseling support, coping strategies training and social skills using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, play therapy techniques, art therapy techniques, mindfulness techniques.
In her free time, Marie loves to be with her two children and husband, going camping and taking spin classes at the gym. She has a passion for children and learning new ways to reach them.
Marie is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents facing behavioral and social/emotional difficulties.
